Project Name:

House Power Panel Replacement Program

Client:

An American electric power holding company in the southeastern United States with assets in Canada

Project location:

North Carolina and South Carolina

Aging house power panels (HPP) replacement

Challenge:

With an increasing number of HPPs failing, the utility determined to replace approximately 65,000 aging meter base-breaker panel combinations on residential homes throughout the Carolinas.

Solution

ULCS is deploying more than 20 one-man service crews to help the client achieve its replacement program goals within the designated timeframe, working closely with affected residential customers to minimize impact and optimize production. ULCS is disconnecting secondary services so that the utility’s contractor electricians can perform the needed upgrades and subsequently restore power.
